If you'd like to try sea kayaking there is a Sea Kayak Devon kiosk

Often there is live music at the cafe/bar and BBQ nights.

In nearby Dartmouth (next stop on the bus or 10 min drive) there the wonderful steam train which goes to popular beach at Paignton.

Keeping the children entertained is easy with Woodlands theme park just 20 mins away by car.

Dartmouth is great in the evenings with lots of restaurants for all budgets and some great pubs.  Thursdays tends to be live music night.

Why not try the 1620 cocktail bar or dinner overlooking the harbour at the Embankment French restaurant (middle of above pic).
